The award functions
Dates and venues for the 2008 functions are:
Auckland, SkyCity Tuesday 23 September
Christchurch, Hotel Grand Chancellor, Wednesday 1 October
Wellington, Duxton Hotel, Friday 10 October
Waikato, Kingsgate Hotel, Wednesday 15 October
All of the functions will start at 6.30pm and finish at midnight.

The functions:
Each of the Award evenings are black tie, seated, dinner functions. The ticket cost includes dinner, beverages and entertainment (during the awards with the MC and afterwards with a band).
With 20 years of experience the functions are very well run and have always been highly praised by the attendees. They’re a great night out with most owners/managers tending to bring a number of their staff along to celebrate.
your MC and entertainer:
Mark Ferguson
Mark is a TV, comedy and theatresports veteran with over 20 years experience. Mark has appeared in TV roles in Shortland Street, as well as hosting a number of TV reality shows such as Big Brother, The Mole and Living the Dream. He has also appeared in films including Lord Of the Rings and Sinking of the Rainbow Warrior. In addition to this, Mark has extensive theatre experience.
Mark's first love is comedy and he was responsible for bringing Theatresports to New Zealand. Today Mark mixes his love of improv, comedy and acting in a career that makes him one of New Zealand's most sought after performers.
Bands:
Auckland and Waikato - Tongue and Groove
Tongue & Groove perform only well known songs that everyone loves, ranging from the latest top 10 to the well known classics of the 70's, 80's & 90's - all songs that will have you up and dancing.
Wellington - The Noodles
The Noodles are Wellington's busiest professional cover band, playing 4-6 nights a week in Wellington's top nightspots. Their repertoire ranges from classic rock through to contemporary - from the 1960's 'till today. This lively party band is going to be a great way to end the night - or start it, for those of you still heading into town afterwards!
Christchurch - Smooth Talk
Popular Christchurch based duo Smooth talk, have been performing all over Christchurch and the South Island for several years. Playing sing-a-long classics to contemporary chart toppers – they offer music to suit almost everyone’s taste.
