Gala Luncheon 2009
The five inductees into the inaugural Retail Hall of Fame were inducted at a Gala Luncheon as part of the NZRA National Conference on September 2 2009.
The 2009 Retail Hall of Fame Recipients

Bendix Hallenstein was represented by Ian Halsted, the great grand nephew of Bendix and former Manager Director on Hallensteins and Hallensteins Glassons.

Robert Laidlaw's award was accepted by his son Lincoln. Lincoln's wife Nancy and his sister Lillian Chrystall also attended the event.

Molly Ah Chee represented her late husband Tom Ah Chee on the day and accepted his award.

Greg Smith, New Zealand GM for Michael Hill stood in for Michael who was in the US on business.

The final inductee for the day was Sir Stephen Tindall. He said a few words of behalf of all the inductees to round out the award ceremony.

We are privileged to welcome these first five Laureates into the Hall of Fame and look forward to announcing more highly deserving recipients over the coming years.
