ABOUT THE FASTENERS ASSOCIATION OF NEW ZEALAND

Founded in 1958 FANZ is a non-profit trade organisation dedicated to represent and promote the interests of Suppliers to the Industry. It is made up of fastener related companies which recognizes the world-wide nature of our industry.

FANZ has been a leader in the fastener industry providing a strong voice for programs that benefit its members and the industry as a whole.

The broad aims of FANZ are to:

Promote and encourage growth and understanding of the Fastener Industry
Develop the industry as a professional representative body
To serve every segment of the Industry

FANZ plans to achieve these aims by the Organisation and its Members promoting public awareness of the industry. This will be achieved via Meetings, Evening and Breakfast Seminars, and similar functions.

FANZ will promote, seek or oppose legislative changes that affect the interests of the Suppliers Industry.

FANZ's MISSION STATEMENT

To assist our members to attain the highest standards of business practices and products whilst providing our members with the opportunity of conferring on all matters relating to the manufacture, importation and distribution of fasteners.

Who Can Join

All suppliers to the Fastener Industry are eligible to join.

What we provide for our members

FANZ offers you the opportunity to develop Industry viewpoints and shape FANZ's policies for reasonable laws-regulations based upon demonstration of public need and provide an opportunity to network with each other.

FANZ is in contact with organisations overseas and other Specialist Associations within New Zealand.

FANZ in 2004 will be holding more fastener member sector group meetings. These groupings are Steel & Stainless Steel, Construction, and Engineering. They will be discussing at these meetings the standards that pertain to their particular sector groups and applying to Standards New Zealand to make these changes.
