The next TOP SHOP® Retail Excellence Awards will be held in 2010
Detail regarding the entry process, award categories and awards evenings will be announced at the NZRA National Conference and Retail Hall of Fame Awards on 2 September 2009 at the SkyCity Convention Centre in Auckland.

Organised by the New Zealand Retailers Association in Auckland, Waikato, Wellington and Christchurch, the TOP SHOP® retail excellence awards are all about promoting excellence in retailing.
TOP SHOP® seeks the best of the best in every major retail category and then recognises and celebrates them as the benchmarks for excellence in retailing.
Retailers wanting to win TOP SHOP® need to be doing all of the basics to an excellent standard, consistently, everyday.

Why the New Zealand Retailers Association runs TOP SHOP®
For the New Zealand Retailers Association the main objective of running the TOP SHOP® retail excellence awards is to provide a competition that assists in raising the general standard of retailing, or put more simply, "Promoting excellence in retailing".
Objectives of the TOP SHOP® retail excellence awards
- Raise the standards of retailing
- Recognise and reward retailers implementing best practice principles
- Promote, celebrate and publicise those who have achieved retailing excellence
The competition also acknowledges the vital industry partnerships existing between retailers and sponsors.
